SBY: Dikritik Publik, Polri Tak Usah Gundah
VIVAnews - Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono meminta Polri tidak gundah meski kerap dikritik publik dan media massa. Berbagai kasus memang menerpa Polri, mulai dari kasus Mesuji sampai pencurian sandal yang menyeret seorang remaja ke balik bui.
"Biasanya media massa dan masyarakat lebih suka melihat kekurangan dan kesalahan Polri, memang demikian kenyataannya. Tidak perlu saudara-saudara gundah, saya pun mengalami," kata Presiden SBY pada Rapat Pimpinan Polri di Mabes Polri, Selasa, 17 Januari 2012. "Jangan terganggu atas kritik, saya sudah tujuh tahun hadapi kritik."
Menurutnya, kritik tersebut harus jadi bahan introspeksi bagi kepolisian untuk melakukan perbaikan. "Kalau hujatan itu berlebihan, merugikan nama baik negara, klarifikasi berulang-ulang bahwa itu fitnah tidak benar," jelas SBY.
Dia pun meminta agar jenderal-jenderal polisi tetap mengingat hal yang baik dari institusi kepolisian saat sudah tidak aktif alias pensiun. "Jangan melihat polri yang serba kurang."
Dalam kesempatan itu, SBY menilai ada beberapa prestasi kepolisian yang patut diapresiasi. Pertama, pencapaian hasil nyata pencegahan terorisme.
Kedua, capaian kejahatan narkoba. "Memang seolah-olah di atas permukaan tapi saya tahu kerja keras saudara.
Ketiga, pengamanan berskala besar, seperti mudik lebaran yang semakin kompleks, Natal, dan Sea Games.
Keempat, tugas-tugas pengamanan khusus bersama TNI dalam program internasional. Kelima, pelayanan kepolisian makin baik kepada masyarakat.
Keenam, rekrutmen pengadaan tenaga, personel polri yang relatif bersih dan transparan sehingga warga negara punya kesempatan jadi polri. Ketujuh, akuntabilitas penggunaan anggaran yang baik. "Dan, mendapat opini wajar tanpa pengecualian oleh BPK." (umi)
