90% of Home Funds Poured West Sumatra earthquake victims
VIVAnews -National Agency for disaster relief (BNPB) States has disbursed the grant building 162.525 home victims of the devastating earthquake Sumatera Barat (West Sumatra). This means that 90 percent of the total requirement of 181.995 housing units.
"BNPB has provided funds to the local Government of the province of West Sumatra since 2009 and now reached Rp2,6 trillion," said the head of a database of information and public relations BNPB Sutopo Purwo Nugroho in information inscribed VIVAnews.comreceived, Friday, September 2, 2011.
BNPB Data shows, the Government's stimulus funds allocated to help build a House with a heavily damaged condition as much as 102.692 units from 114.797 units and home needs moderate damage as much as 59.833 units from 67.198 units needs.
Residential development was held at 10 regencies and cities, the city of Padang, Pariaman, Padang Panjang, Padang Pariaman, Agam Regency, Pesisir Selatan, Solok, West Pasaman, Pasaman, and Tanah Datar.
Remittances has done three times, i.e. in 2009 amounted to Rp313 billion, year 2010 of Rp2 trillion, and the first stage of the 2011 Rp300 billion. "Currently being prepared Rp400 billion more that comes from foreign aid to be submitted to the local Government of West Sumatra," said Sutopo.
He added, the total damages and losses resulting from the earthquake itself is expected to reach West Sumatra Rp21,6 trillion. To the needs of rehabilitation and reconstruction is estimated to require around Rp6,4 billion. "The drawback are expected to be resolved through BUDGET-P 2011," he said.
In addition to housing, the plan will also help fund allocated for Company development in four other sectors, namely infrastructure, social, economic, productive and cross sector. (kd)
