Disruption Of Religious Activities, Will Be Disbanded

VIVAnews – The Metro Area, police promised to disband religious activities that disrupt public order and security. Religious activity is better moved to the proper place and not a closed public roads.

"We reserve the right to dissolve the activities that interfere with other people. Moreover, the keagaamaan event yesterday had a chance to make the streets jammed Western Cape actually do not have permission, "said the head of the Metro Police Department's operations Bureau, Commissioner Sujarno, in Jakarta, Monday 1 August 2011.

Sujarno said, if there is permission in organizing religious, there must be a member of the guard to secure and regulate the event so no prolonged congestion.

Sujarno explains, groups of people who carry out religious activities must be based on law No. 9 of 1998 about delivering an opinion in public. "Thus, the community is obliged to notify the plan of activities to include the amount of mass, the Coordinator and the location to the police," he said.

According to the head of Metro Polda Jaya public relation, Commissioner Baharudin Djafar, if such activities have been troubling the community, the police are obliged to take decisive action by way of mass membubaran and prohibit the conduct by the wayside.

Even though it will do the dissolution of the masses, the clerk, said Baharudin will put forward sociological and cultural factors in order to secure the community's activities.

As known, several community organizations often held religious event involving many of the masses. Ironically they shut down the road that led to severe congestion. The area is often used religious events include Sunday market and Western Cape. Polda Metro Jaya urged the public not perform religious activities that are closed access roads to other citizens.(umi)
